Beating the Bureaucrats

One thing I love is reading stories about people who have taken on the bureaucrats and won. Bureaucrats have too much power and can make life pretty miserable. So I was happy when I read this story about a man who got fined for speeding through a roadworks zone. The problem? There were no roadworks going on. The man sued and won.
My most favourite case of beating the bureacrats was Dave Henderson's case against Inland Revenue (or the Department of Legalised Theft as I like to call them). The IRD took Henderson on when he tried to claim a large GST refund. After a long battle Henderson won. A movie is now being made about the fiasco; I am looking forward to it coming out.
