The Secret Song

One of my work colleagues won $19,400 in a radio competition on Wednesday. The station played a snippet of a song, and you had to try and guess what the song is. The competition had been going for a few weeks, but it wasn't until Monday night that Nic managed to figure out that the song was All Cried Out by Alison Moyet. It's difficult to get through on the phones, but thankfully this was Website Wednesday. Nic had registered her details through the station's website, and the announcer picked her name out of the proverbial hat.
It's alway exciting when someone you know wins something big. To make things better, Nic really deserves the prize. She is one of those people who works hard, but needs that little bit more money to start getting ahead in life. She is ecstatic now - she can finally afford a decent car!
Winning things on the radio is fun. I used to get excited when I won one of the free CDs that the stations give away on the weekends. I guess nothing beats the excitement of winning $19,400 though.
